Brazil's threshold is one of the more accessible formal nomad programs. The legal test is that you have no employment relationship in Brazil and can perform your professional activity remotely.
Eligibility
- Remote professional activity independent of location.
- Foreign employer, foreign clients, or other foreign-source income documentation.
- No employment relationship with a Brazilian entity.
- Regular monthly income of at least US$1,500 or US$18,000 in bank funds.
Documents outside Brazil
- Passport or valid travel document.
- Health insurance coverage in Brazil.
- Proof of consular fee payment.
- Completed visa application form.
- Criminal record certificate.
- Documents proving digital nomad status and foreign-source income.
Registration after arrival
Immigrants entering with the temporary visa must register with the Federal Police and obtain the National Migration Registration Card (CRNM) within the required post-arrival window.
